Why Are You Not Getting Sleepy?
Sleep is something you normally look forward to. Deep restorative sleep is healing sleep, a time to rest and recharge your batteries. It impacts the normal functioning of your organs and your cognitive process.
Insomnia drains your energy and leads to further issues
If you suffer from occasional or chronic insomnia, you know the immediate effects: low energy, irritability, trouble concentrating and difficulty focusing on tasks. Insomnia also contributes and complicates other issues such as weight gain or loss, anxiety, heart disease, diabetes, chronic fatigue and depression.
Are you insomniac?
Insomnia comes in different varieties. Which is yours? Can not fall asleep? Can not stay asleep? Awaken much too early? or sleep through the night, but restlessly, feeling drained in the morning instead of energized?
Any one of these sleep disorders qualifies you to call yourself an insomniac.
Why is your subconscious keeping you awake
Being motivated to observe proper sleep hygiene is obviously helpful but there may be a reason why the subconscious mind is trying to protect you by keeping you awake.
Hypnosis is very effective in resolving insomnia, regardless of the cause. Sometimes insomnia is a pattern, a bad habit of the brain that needs to be reset in the subconscious mind.
Before applying any hypnotherapy approach, seek help from your doctor if you suspect that medical conditions may be contributing to your sleep problems. This is important because some type of insomnias that have a medical basis (called organic insomnias) will be unlikely to be amenable to hypnotic interventions and require medical attention.

But the good news is that most insomnias are not biologically related, but rather more connected to anxiety. Hypnotherapy can certainly help with anxiety-based sleep disorders. Unlike the side effects of medications that are used for insomnia, there are no adverse side effects with hypnosis.
Insomniacs of the world, I am happy to inform you that there are new ways to figure out why you are not sleeping and new ways for you to enjoy a good night’s sleep. If you have tried everything and still are not getting the sleep you need, it’s time to try hypnosis.
