Hypnotherapy is solution oriented

While cognitive therapies are still valuable to help people to consciously understand the reason of having a problem getting in the way of a better life, it does not change the subconscious mind in a rapid way.

Cognitive therapies work with the willpower at the level of the conscious mind which only accounts for 12 percent of our mind’s power. Events that are talked about in cognitive therapy are those events that can be remembered by the conscious mind, and often they are not likely to be the cause of a core issue.

Trying to deal with causes of a problem at the conscious level often needlessly keeps a client in therapy for months or years. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is by itself simply not enough, only having the client learning to cope with the problem rather than resolving it.

An expedient method of self-empowerment

You may consciously as an example repeat hundred times to yourself that you are worthy, if your belief in your subconscious is otherwise, you will never resolve your low self-esteem problem.

This is why hypnotherapy is viewed as an expedient method for self-empowerment.

Scientific researches prove it

One of those researches is a study by Alfred A. Barrios (PhD), published in American Health Magazine. It reports the following findings for a Hypnosis comparison study.

Therapy Type: Recovery percentage ( % ) and Number of sessions needed

Psychoanalysis: 38 % recovery in 600 sessions
Behavior Therapy: 72 % recovery in 22 sessions
Hypnotherapy: 93 % recovery in 6 sessions

This study clearly points out that hypnotherapy is more effective and works more quickly than traditional talk-therapy or psychoanalysis. Through willpower at the level of the conscious mind, changes can last for weeks, maybe a few months, but eventually the client reverts back to old patterns.

As an analogy, this is why in January all the gyms are very busy, filled with people exercising their conscious will power with their New Year’s resolutions. And then by February or March, as you know, the gym traffic goes back to regular levels.
